Over the weekend of the 27th and 28th February McKees challenged the team to get their aprons out and put their Mary Berry thinking caps on for the Great McKees Bake Off. The challenge was to get creative and bake something for example Buns, cake, cookies etc, using McKees as their theme. To enter each member of the McKees team had to pay £1.00 and send a picture of their masterpiece in an email to Heather Canning by 2nd March. All pictures were sent to an independent judge (to make sure it was fair!) who picked a winner of the McKees coveted Bake-Off Wooden Spoon. Well, we can now announce the winners were:

First Prize – Heather Canning

Second Prize Andrea McCann

Third Prize Lillie Turkington

Such was the level of competition that Chris Ross, Managing Partner commented: “

We definitely need a steward’s enquiry – Ella seems to be the only one who has shared her culinary delights “McKees Muffalicious Muffins” with those fortunate to be in the office today – surely that is a mandatory requirement??

I fully expect to be sampling the rest of your treats tomorrow…..”

Sorry Chris – the judges decision is final. The judges made the following comments:

1st Prize as very impressive and looks professional –great presentation –  just like McKees; 2nd Prize was a very close 2nd, looks great!; 3rd Prize looks nice and rich and sweet!
