Peter Cashel

Peter has acted on a variety of matters including the sales and acquisitions of companies, equity & debt investments, restructuring of company groups and the provision of corporate governance and compliance advice to shareholders and directors.

Peter revels in the opportunity to understand a business, the people running it, their goals and how to make them a reality. Travelling that journey with a client makes him ‘tick’.

Peter is involved in his family’s business in the agri-food sector. He has a natural interest in that area whilst holding an inherent understanding of the commercial and personal drivers often at the heart of family run businesses.

Work highlights

• Disposal of a Mexican inspired fast-food chain with locations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to a UK based investment platform;

• Seed investment rounds in relation to a company in the aerospace sector;

• An equity and debt investment round for a company in the social and health care sector with sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland;

• Acquisition and disposal of Northern Ireland based companies in the residential health care sector.

Peter was shortlisted in the ‘Young Lawyer of the Year’ category at the Insider Northern Ireland Young Professionals Awards 2024 and is dual qualified to practise in Northern Ireland and England & Wales.
