Richard McLaughlin

Richard brings over 25 years’ experience in commercial law. He is and is widely respected for his work in advising clients across the hospitality, leisure and licensed trade sectors. He represents local hospitality businesses, including operators of some of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable pubs, restaurants, distilleries and breweries.

He advises businesses at every stage of their lifecycle on matters such as business start up requirements, acquisitions, mergers, sales, leases, trade agreements, enforcement matters and operational issues. Richard’s experience spans both independent operators and larger portfolio clients, with a particular focus on supporting businesses through periods of growth, change and consolidation.

He regularly appears in courts across Northern Ireland for all forms of liquor licensing applications.
